Revitalisasi Pendidikan Nilai melalui Wayang Kulit: Tradisi 1 Windu Sekali Menyambut Tahun Baru Hijriyah di Dusun Trimulyo, Lampung

Abstrak

This study aims to reveal the form, meaning, and educational values ​​contained in the tradition of wayang kulit performances held once every 1 windu to welcome the Hijri New Year in Trimulyo, Kalicinta, North Kotabumi. With a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with community leaders, artists, and local residents, and documentation of activities. The results of the study indicate that this tradition not only functions as entertainment or cultural preservation, but also as a medium for conveying Islamic educational values, character education, and strengthening local cultural identity. The plays performed are full of moral and spiritual messages, and can be a means of informal learning for the younger generation. This tradition also fosters a spirit of mutual cooperation, tolerance, and love for one's own culture. Thus, this wayang kulit performance can be revitalized as a relevant and contextual culture-based education method in shaping the character of society.
