Abstrak

This paper explores the intersection of education and technology and its influence on social inequality within suburban communities. While technological advancements in education are often hailed as democratizing tools, disparities in access, digital literacy, and infrastructure can exacerbate existing social divides. This study examines how unequal distribution of educational technology impacts students’ academic outcomes, parental involvement, and long-term socioeconomic mobility in suburban settings. Using a combination of literature review and case analysis, the research identifies critical gaps in policy and practice that contribute to the digital divide. The findings suggest that although technology has the potential to bridge educational gaps, without equitable implementation strategies, it risks reinforcing systemic inequalities. Recommendations are provided to guide educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders in promoting inclusive technological integration in education
