Abstrak

In a pluralistic society characterized by religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity, art holds significant potential as a medium for interreligious dialogue. Art—in its various forms such as visual arts, music, theater, and literature—can transcend linguistic and doctrinal boundaries to create spaces for encounter, mutual understanding, and empathy. This article explores how art functions as an effective tool for cross-faith communication and social cohesion in the public sphere. Using a qualitative approach and literature review, it examines various artistic practices that have successfully bridged religious communities, along with the challenges they face, such as ideological resistance, the politicization of artistic expression, and limited access to inclusive public spaces. The study also highlights the crucial role of cultural institutions, artist collectives, and inclusive public policies in sustaining interfaith dialogue through artistic expression. It concludes that art is not merely an aesthetic endeavor but a transformative instrument for strengthening tolerance and social harmony in diverse societies.
