Abstrak

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced youth culture, particularly through social media platforms such as TikTok. This study aims to explore how social norms among students are shifting as a result of their daily engagement with TikTok. Using a qualitative case study approach involving high school students, the research reveals that TikTok functions not only as a source of entertainment but also as a space for identity construction, self-expression, and the emergence of new social norms that diverge from traditional values. Concepts such as digital popularity, viral trends, and social validation through "likes" and "followers" have become new indicators of social status among students. The findings highlight a transformation from community-based norms to digitally constructed norms, with significant implications for students' mindsets, social behaviors, and interpersonal relationships.
