Comprehensive Review of the Book Ta'lim al-Muta'alim in the Context of Developing Teaching Materials for Creed and Morals in Madrasah Aliyah

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of the Ta'lim al-Muta'alim book by Sheikh Burhanuddin az-Zarnuji to the development of teaching materials for Akidah Akhlak for Class XII of Madrasah Aliyah. The background of this study is based on the limitations of textbooks used in madrasahs, which tend to be concise and less in-depth, so that additional materials that are more comprehensive and applicable are needed. Through a qualitative research method of the library research type, the researcher examines the concept of morality in the Ta'lim al-Muta'alim book, especially the values ​​of al-Jidd (hard work) and al-Himmah (noble ideals), and seeks the suitability of the material with the needs of learning akidah akhlak in Madrasah Aliyah. The results of the study show that the material in the Ta'lim al-Muta'alim book not only provides reinforcement of moral theory, but also forms students' character through a more in-depth and integrated approach. The development of teaching materials based on this book is an innovative solution to overcome the shortcomings of existing textbooks, while preserving the tradition of classical Islamic knowledge. With this integration, students are expected to be able to actualize moral values ​​in everyday life, forming a generation that is intellectually intelligent, has a strong character, and has noble morals that are ready to face the challenges of the times. This research is a real contribution to strengthening character education in the Madrasah Aliyah environment.
